2019: Durotoye defeats Moghalu, 15 others to emerge PACT’s consensus candidate Ahead of the the 2019 general elections,  former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN),  Kingsley Moghalu and 15 other presidential aspirants on the platform of Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT) has endorsed Fela Durotoye as their consensus presidential candidate. Durotoye is a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN). Saraki declares to run for president By EReporter Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has officially declared to run for the president of Nigeria come 2019 election. Saraki made his intention known during a dialogue with Youth and Young aspirants, held at Sheraton hotel, Abuja, on Thursday, august 30, 2018. According to him, he possesses a blend of executive and legislative experience being a former governor of a state in Nigeria and now, the Senate President. Saraki said, as such, he has all it takes to “push for and implement reforms that will deliver real improvements in the daily lives of our people. MY DECLARATION MADE IN GOOD FAITH, SARAKI TELLS NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN GROUP The President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki has said that his declaration for the presidency in 2019 election was made in good faith to young PDP aspirants, partly as a symbolic act of encouragement. Saraki had on Thursday made his declaration at a dialogue with youths and young aspirants in Abuja and promised an inclusive government for all Nigerians, if elected. The Not Too Young to Run group had on Thursday disowned affiliation with Saraki’s declaration for the presidency in 2019 election.
